Baby born in tea bushes

A tea worker of Borengajuli tea estate under Dimakuchi PS in Udalguri district gave birth to an infant in tea bushes while plucking tea leaves. The worker has been admitted in the civil hospital Tangla while her infant baby was found dead. The workers have created a havoc in this regard. The female tea workers usually loaded with heavy burden and pressure & ignorance  from the management have been left for survival.

Baby Elephant found dead in Udalguri

The mysterious death of an elephant calf casts no less spell of shadow in Udalguri on Monday. According to Ranjit Tanti, a wildlife activist, the calf, aged around 8, was found dead at a paddy field in Jorpukhuri village under Nonai forest range. A team of forest officials rushed to the spot after some villagers informed them about the dead calf and postmortem of the carcass was on the spot and buried. The 22nd edition of the Bodoland Gallants Gold Cup Football Turnament 2017 is going to be held at Dimakuchi Stadium in Udalguri district of Assam from today. Youth found dead

Body of one Bikash Munda (18), an Adivasi youth was recovered Monday morning in No.1 sonajuli area under Dimakuchi, Udalguri. Police recovered the body from his uncle’s house and further investigations are on.   It has been reported that Bikash Munda son of Rantu Munda had gone to sleep at his uncle’s house adjacent to Nengta Bodo’s house who have fled from their residence since morning. The mobile phone was found at Nengta Bodo’s residence. Injuries on the body were found. Police have taken the body for post mortem.

Elephant terror in Udalguri

A herd of wild elephants unleashed no less of terror in Borengajuli Tea Estate in Tangla killing a 35 year old man on Monday.  Identified as ArjunMunda, son of BirshaMunda was trampled to death early in the Sunday morning as he was collecting twigs.
