Kidapper arrested

Police arrested Mitichar Mushahary,main accused operson in connection with the kidnapping of Ranjit Dutta of Kokrajhar district recent.

Based on information about presence of the kidnapper of Ranjit Dutta, a joint team of Kokrajhar and Chirang police launched a search operation along Duttapur area under Runikhata PS of Chirang district today and abled to apprehend main accused of kidnapping case registered at Kokrajhar PS,case no.109/2017,U/S 365 IPC.The arrested person was trained cadre of NDFB(38th batch).

KOKRAJHAR: The nationwide lockdown has evoked full response in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Areas to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak across the country. 487 at 6 Kokrajhar quarantine centres

KOKRAJHAR: Around 487 persons are being kept in the six quarantine centres set up in Kokrajhar district under strict observation with proper medical check up. The centres have been set up by district administration to check those persons who are coming from neighbouring states towards Assam in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
