Bodofa Sustainable for Change Inspires Young Talents at U13 Football Tournament

KOKRAJHAR, July 16: The Dotma HS school playground in Kokrajhar witnessed the exciting kickoff of the third U13 Football tournament, organized under the mission of Bodofa Sustainable for Change, on Sunday. The tournament aims to identify and nurture budding sports talents in the region and was organized by the Kokrajhar district committee of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Khanindra Basumatary, the General Secretary of ABSU, and Apurna Narzary, a renowned international women's footballer, who were the chief guest and special guest, respectively. They jointly inaugurated the tournament, marking the beginning of an eventful journey.

The ABSU has been consistently hosting this tournament each year as part of their ongoing efforts to discover and nurture sports talents across the region. Under the mission of Bodofa Sustainable for Change, this initiative holds great significance in promoting sports and encouraging young athletes.

On the opening day, the teams representing Ramfalbil Anchalik Committee and South Kokrajhar Anchalik Committee competed in a thrilling match, setting the tone for the tournament ahead.

Notable personalities in attendance included Khwrwmdao Wary, the Vice President of ABSU, Ukil Mushahary, an executive member of BTR, Raju Kumar Narzary, the General Secretary of UPPL, and Dr. Berlao K Karjie, the Political Secretary to the CEM (BTR). Their presence added prominence to the event, reflecting the support and enthusiasm of the community.

The U13 Football tournament promises exciting matches and serves as a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. As the tournament progresses, it is anticipated to inspire and unearth promising sports stars in the making.
