Tangla gears up for Durga Puja

Greater Tangla area irrespective of caste and community are all set to celebrate the Durga puja with great fervour. Tangla and its outskirts are already wearing a festive look since the day of Mahalaya. This time as per the information revealed by the Bhergaon sub-division administration. Durga Puja will be celebrated by over 120 puja committees. It is worth mentioning here that the town and its adjoining areas have set up attractively decorated pandals drawing the people’s attentions.

For the safe and peaceful celebration of Durga puja the Bhergaon sub-divisional administration held a meeting recently at Bhergaon SDO(C) conference hall premises. The meeting was chaired by Dithakananda Hazarika SDO (C) ,Bhergaon . Hazarika sought co-operation from the public for maintaining law and order situation during the celebration. SDPO Bhergaon P.Borah in his speech appealed the public to strictly maintain the rules and regulations for the smooth functioning of law and order. The meeting was also attended by Puja celebration committee members, fire-fighting personals,Officer in Charge of all Police Stations under Bhergaon sub-division along with Khoirabari Revenue Circle Officer Lakhya Jyoti Das.
