Bodoland agitation postponed
The joint movement group (ABSU, NDFB-P & PJACBM) have re-announced the Bodoland Movement Programs of September 30 being Mahalaya (A Religious Occasion) and pre-ponded to September 29. In consistent with the earlier announcement of movement programs the call for all Assam engine bandh (all automobiles) on September 29 for 7-hours (Seven) from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Notably the national highways and school/colleges/university bus/vans are exempted from the purview of bandh and all the shops with business establishment will remain open.
This movement program called for the solution of Bodoland movement and the group appeals to the people of the state to cooperate and observe the movement. The Government of India has not responded the democratic mass movement to solve the Bodo Issue yet after completion of series of movement programmes in last couple of years.
Further the movement groups will not be responsible if the untoward incidences occur during the bandh. The government will be solely responsible for such incidences, the movement group demand for the solution of the Bodo issue and the Bodoland movement will continue rigorously in the days to come,said a press release.
