Need to tap resources: Sonowal

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stressed the need to explore the state on all fronts. In his address after opening Majuli district headquarters on Thursday, Sonowal said the entire state is full of resources and that these possibility needs to be tapped.

“As your representative I have lots of duties and responsibilities for the people of Majuli. I will keep these people in mind,” said Sonowal.

   
Earlier in his address, health and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the BJP-led Government in Dispur would make Majuli, the biggest ever cultural seat in the country.
He said within the next couple of months the Government would change the face of the river island with lots of developmental initiatives.

Cabinet ministers, mostly, attended the function where the Chief Minister opened the district headquarters.
