The authority sounds red alert in the city of Guwahati following a specific input that a seven member hardcore ULFA group belonging to 27th and 709th have sneaked into it to disrupt the Independence Day celebration.
According to information, These cadres belonging to ULFA 27th and 709th battalions aim at claiming their strength with strike in the form of explosion to disrupt the Independence day celebrations on August 15. Thereby, they are set to claim that the unilateral ceasefire by the A and C companies of the crack unit has no impact on its strength.
Strict instructions have issued to each of the city police stations to remain alert in view of these inputs. It has also been disclosed that on Thursday last ULFA militants lobbed grenade at an army vehicle in the Guwahati Railway Station premises. The entire group is reportedly led by the dreaded Charitra Das of thr 27th battalion which has forced red alert in the city from Thursday night.
