CM Sonowal meets DC,SPs in Bongaigaon

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal chaired the review meeting of the DC,SPs and high administrative officials of Lower Assam and Middle Assam Division at Bongaigaon DC office complex on Wednesday.

Sonowal, arrived in Bongaigaon travelled by road this morning and attended the review meeting with DC,SPs and other adiministrative officials of the Lower Assam and Middle Assam Division and several issues,which included implementation of NRC update,solution issue of D-voters, law and order, check gate issue,flood control across were dominated on the discussion.

DC and SPs from several districts, included Bongaigaon, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, Goalpara, Darrang, Baksa, South Salmara and Kamrup (Rural and Metro) participated in the. MLAs Chandan Brahma, Phani Bhusan Choudhury, DGP Mukesh Sahay, Chief Secretary Pipersenia,Principal Secretary to Lower Assam, ADGP (SPL branch) Pallab Bhattacharya, ADGP RM Sing were also attended the meeting.

Sonowal,stressing early implementation of NRC updating in the state urged the DC and SPs of the region to be dedicated while implementing with neat and cute within frame work.He also took stock of law and order situation of the region and appealed to maintain peace and tranquility in the state.

‘My government will do for all round development of all communities across the state so that entire Assam can be developed equally in economically, socially and educationally’,Sonowal said adding that previous Congress government had not done welfare and development in all areas in the state,of which why Assam is facing undeveloped status.

Sonowal also attended a meeting at Bongaigaon District Library hall where BJP party workers and other organisation organizations,included AASU, AKRSU, AJYCP accorded warm welcome and felicitated him on his first visit to Bongaigaon after taking oath of CM.

Review committee visits detention center

KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. KOKRAJHAR: The National Press Day-2019 was observed in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on Saturday. KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district. 68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event. KOKRAJHAR: Security forces apprehended three cadres of the Saoraigwra faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB-S) in the India-Bhutan border area in Chirang district on Monday evening. Nine countries participate in paragliding championship

KOKRAJHAR: The first-ever Bodoland International accuracy Paragliding championship-2019 began from Monday at Dangdupur Hill, Kokrajhar district. 68 participants, including nine countries, are participating the championship. Community fishing at Samoka River in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A sea of humanity is seeing along the Samoka Irrigation sluice gate River bank to participate in the community fishing near Bishmuri in Kokrajhar district on Thursday.
