The Udalguri district All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) and BODO WOMEN JUSTICE FORUM (BWJF) staged a two hour sit-in protest at Harisinga on Friday against the barbarous torture and alleged attempt to murder of a juvenile 9th grade student. The activists of ABSU and BWJF demanded compensation to the kin of juvenile who is battling for life at Tezpur Medical College Hospital.

A memorandum was also submitted to Dithakananda Hazarika SDC addressed to the Chief secy. Govt. of Assam through DC Udalguri by Udalguri ABSU & BODO WOMEN JUSTICE FORUM (BWJF). The memorandum demanded 1. Immediate arrest of the culprit, 2. Demand proper judicial inquiry into illegal assault n attempt to murder incident 3. Demand free medical treatment & compensation to the victim's d family 4. Safety & security of the common people 5. Demand the withdrawal of the case against the juvenile student of Harisinga Higher secondary school.
