New hospital inaugurated at Pasighat

An Integrated 10 (Ten) bedded  AYUSH hospital was inaugurated by Ms. Isha Khosla, DC East Siang, in General Hospital Pasighat  in presence of Dr. Kabang Lego, JDHS, Dr. Mandip Perme, DMO, Kaling Dai, ZPC, Kaling Doruk, Councilor and others.

“ The Govt. is promoting alternate medicines in a big way  so all has to make it successful by dint of their dedication, hard work, work ethics and maintaining quality standard”, said Isha Khosla.  Since this AYUSH hospital is first of its kind in the state all should endeavor to take it to new heights. All should help to promote it so that people from outside the state also can avail its benefits. This can become a centre of health/medical tourism, the DC said.

Proper planning is essential for its long term development therefore, she appealed the authorities to prepare a vision document. She urged the Joint Director, Health Services (HTRC) and DMO Pasighat not only to support and lend co operation but provide guidance so that it becomes a reputed hospital.  The DC  also instructed them to tie up with the school and college  authorities and teach yoga to the students. There should be competitions amongst them so that people come to know about the benefits of yoga and it becomes popular.

Dr. Kabang Lego while welcoming all informed that for the full fledged AYUSH Hospital, most of the equipments and medicines have been procured and  staff appointed. Dr. Taru Tajung (Ayurvedic) and Dr. David Panggam (Homeo) are already in the hospital, he informed.  He assured full support and co operation for the development of the hospital.
Earlier all participated in the yoga session in the hospital.

Corruption charge against Tuki

Continuing its fight against the rampant corruption and mismanagement of public money by the state government, Chairperson Jan Andolan Committee (JAC) Tame Phassang divulged that state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki is again misusing public money by means of nepotism. 5 killed in Arunachal accident

Five persons died and four others sustained serious injury when the vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday. The tragic accident took place in the wee hours in between Palizi and Ramda in West Kameng district where the vehicle carrying at least nine people was going to Seppa. Eyewitnesses told reporters that the vehicle was negotiating a sharp bend before it slipped into a deep gorge where five persons died on the spot. On the critically injured has been battling for life at the Tezpur Medical College Hospital. Four other injured have been admitted to the district hospital at Seppa.

Arunachal files review plea in SC

The Arunachal Pradesh government has refused to grant refugee status to the Bangladeshi Chakmas and Hajong people who migrated in 1964-69 and urged the Supreme Court to review its judgment. In its recent review petition before the apex Supreme Court, the state government said that the court passed the judgment without hearing the stategovernment. It further told the court that out of total 4637 applications, 4213 applications for citizenship do not fulfill the criteria of signing of oath of allegiance, as per the second schedule to the Citizenship Act, 1955 and police verification of character and antecedents required re-verification.
