Waterlogging and flashfloods in Tangla

Incessant rain for the past couple of days have paralysed normal life in Tangla town and it's suburbs. The people of the area are seen drapping in warm clothes in evenings due to chilly weather brought by the torrential rain. The town which is surrounded by tea gardens and high lying. Hence it is not likely to witness any flood like situation, however waterlogging and flashfloods in several localities have made kutcha roads of Ward No. 1 namely Nobinpolly locality and Palpara locality of Ward no. 3 slushy and unhygenic.

The dilapidated Bazaarkhola road leading from Tangla Charali Police point has made commuters life difficult. The inclement weather has also tormented the Bihu revellers. People mostly are preferring remaining indoors and sipping coffee and tea along with their peers and family members.
