Ajay Kumar Narzary eyes social change
Independent candidate for 30-Kokrajhar east LAC Ajay Kumar Narzary has eyed of building social change and integration among all sections of communities in the region. Speaking the reporters today at his residence in Kokrajhar, Narzary said that he has been contesting the assembly election from Kokrajhar east to establish social change by bringing consciousness of human resource development among society. 'Creating social consciousness, corruption free society and people's welfare activities is the prime job of his contesting election. Peoples across the different communities extended support to his candidature, so his winning is sure from the Kokrajhar east LAC', Narzary said.
He has appealed to all sections of communities to vote for his candidature to meet bring social uplift and integrated society.

KOKRAJHAR: The National Press Day-2019 was observed in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on Saturday.
Kokrajhar Press Club and district administration jointly organised the National Press Day here at Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar to mark the national press day.
BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary graced as chief guest on the occasion. KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district.
68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event.
The championship was organised by Tourism department of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) to promote adventure sports in the region which was started from November 11.

KOKRAJHAR: Security forces apprehended three cadres of the Saoraigwra faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB-S) in the India-Bhutan border area in Chirang district on Monday evening.
According to Police source, based on a specific intelligence about movement of NDFB cadres inside Chirang Reserve forest near Bhutan border in Chiang district, a joint operation was launched at remote Indo-Bhutan border area under Runikhata police station by Indian army, CRPF Cobra Battalion and Chirang police on Monday evening and apprehend three cadres of the NDFB-S along with arms.

KOKRAJHAR: The first-ever Bodoland International accuracy Paragliding championship-2019 began from Monday at Dangdupur Hill, Kokrajhar district. 68 participants, including nine countries, are participating the championship.
There are 22 foreign paragliders including four women in the international championship are from China (5), Indonesia (6), Nepal (4), Korea (5), Japan (1) and Taiwan (1). The host India have 46 participants who are coming from Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim.

KOKRAJHAR: The All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) has demanded proper implementation of the 6th Clause of the historic Assam Accord with letter and spirit.
ABMSU also demands clarification of the terms 'indigenous' (Khilongia) which has been marked in the Assam Accord.
Speaking to the media at Kokrajhar Press Club on Thursday, ABMSUB president Abu Sayed Anchari and secretary Nazrul Islam said that the people of the state wants properly implementation of the 6th Clause of the Assam Accord which was regarded as a 'raksha kabash' in the state.
