KLO cadre held

Security forces from police and army apprehended a Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) from Maktaigaon area on Friday under Gossaigaon PS in Kokrajhar district, 

Identified as Ranjay Barman of Maktaigaon. He was involved with extortion, new cadre recruitment and arms peddling in the area. 

A pistol along with live bullet was recovered from him.

The re-polling to the No.24 polling station at Kachugaon LP school(right side) under 28-Gosaigaon LAC in Kokrajhar district has not been scheduled yet,but expecting that it would be held after Bihu. Based on a specific information about presence of the militant organisation,a joint team of police and army launched an operation in the are and apprehended a KLO cadre along with arm. The cadre was identified as Ajay Barman alias Takla,20,of Darnagpur of Baksa district.He was involved with extortion,kidnapping,recruiting new cadres,logistic supports to militant outfits. Around 82 percent poll  turn was recorded in three constituencies in Kokrajhar district on Monday, besides a repolling was declared for EVM anomalies at 24-polling station at Kachugaon LP school on the second phase Assam assembly polls.According to Gossaigaon district election officer, the repolling was declared at Kachugaon LP School polling following EVM anomalies during ongoing voting on the day.
