RMC suspends its president

The Religious Minority Council (RMC), BTC region has suspended Sohrab Khan, president of the council for his anti organization activities. 

An emergent central executive meeting of the council was held today at Magurmari with Gulzar Hussain Mallah, working president of the council in the chair in Kokrajhar district where delegates attended from 10 district committees of the BTAD. The council thoroughly discussed about the prevailing situation and resolved three resolutions which included supports continue to BPF party, making social uplift among common publics, suspension of Khan from organization for his anti-organisation activities. 

During the meeting, existing working president Gulzar Hussain Mallah has been intrusted as in-charge president of the council till formation of full pledged committee of the council. He has assumed as in charge president from today and his term would be continued till new committee formation, said Rijual Haque Sarkar, general secretary of RMC. 

Khan had openly declined to extend support to BPF party in the scheduled assembly election recently, of which why he today face of criticism within organization. 

Former BTC MCLA and Chief adviser of the council Baktar Ali Ahmed, after the meeting told that the council has made under suspension of Sohrab Khan, president of the RMC for his anti-organisation while holding leadership in the region. He said that the council has revived it's extending support to ruling BPF party in the election. 

 'The council was good understanding with BTAD administration since inception, and it's working towards welfare for common masses are very much laudable in the region', Ahmed said. 

'There was no fraction within organization, today all district committees and unite to making more strong of the organization', he said. 

He has alleged that Khan has been close contact with Congress party to gain political step, so he had spoke more unacceptable remarks in his life. His remark and statement are baseless and personal, Ahmed said. 

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council would continue its support to the BPF party.

A businessman was hospitalized after attacked with sharp weapon by miscreants at Champa bazaar area on Friday evening in Kokrajhar district. An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel.
