Ajmal foundation dedicates houses for riot victims
Lok Sabha MP and AIUDF supremo Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal dedicated houses to the 2012 BTAD riot victims under the humanity services of Ajmal Foundation. Ajmal inaugurated the newly constructed houses for Bodo peoples at Bakuabangi village under Bilasipara east LAC in Dhubri district and Ajmal Model village at Bhotgaon Kashipara under Kokrajhar east LAC in Kokrajhar district in the presence of huge public gathering on Wednesday.
The Ajmal Foundation has been constructed around 2000 houses for riot victims in BTAD to facilitate humanity services, of which 81 houses were built at Ajmal model village at Bhotgaon and eight houses were dedicated to Bodo villagers at Bakuabangi. The foundation will continue its humanity services among society in coming days as and when peoples prayed to the foundation.
Ajmal, addressing the well attended gathering at Bhotgaon model village complex said that the foundation was working for all round development among various community in the region. He said that especially those who were affected badly in the 2012 BTAD riot they were given away houses so that they can live in healthy manner. He also said that the foundation has been giving services like sanitation, hospital, road, education upliftment to pave way peace and unity in the region.He has urged the irrespective of caste and creed to restore peace and unity to make healthy development among various communities.
Ajmal on the alliance with Congress party ahead election said that his party has internal relation with Congress, but remained far from declaration. He said that his party will contest in 60 seats and will support in remaining seats across the state, besides contesting six seats in BTAD region. He also claimed that BJP-AGP alliance could not be factor one in the election as both parties have no any based among citizens.
Beneficiaries both from Bodo and Muslim community expressed their gratitude to the foundation for extending support of houses in the area said, ‘It is a humanity service among society, who were affected badly in the riots. They thanked officials of Ajmal foundation and Badaruddin Ajmal for providing humanity activities in the region’.
Bilashipara west MLA Hafis Bashir Ahmed Qasmi,BTC MCLAs Abdul Ali Mondol,Robert Narzary,Jyatindra Nath Brahma,Mominur Islam among others were present in the programme.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday.
