Tangla College sports and cultural week begins
The Annual Sports and Cultural week of the academic session of Tangla College began today with full gaiety and fervor. The program will conclude on February 6 with 4 days colorful programme . Vice- Principal Bhuban Mohan Singh kicked of the agenda of the College Week with lighting the ceremonial lamp and it was followed by Swahid Tarpan event which was administered by the ,General Secretary-in-Charge Swdwmsa Boro. In the Inaugural Session, the Vice-Principal unfurled the College Flag at 10am. It was followed by Stadium inaguration by Bonjar Daimari EM BTC. The four day event would include various Sports competition , Gymnasium competition ,culture and literary competition ,cultural rally. On February 6 Kamali Basumatari MLA Panery LAC would be present as the chief guest of the event while Sadhana Hojai DC Udalguri would grace the event as appointed speaker. Barun Kumar Captain Borengajuli Army Camp of Red Horns division would also be present as Special guest.

UDALGURI: The Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of newspaper reports of the alleged incident of police atrocities on a doctor in Chirang district on Friday.
