Dotma HSS celebrated Platinum Jubilee

The Platinum Jubilee celebration of Dotma Higher Secondary School was concluded today after three-day long programme scheduled at school ground in Kokrajhar. 

An open meeting was held on the concluding day today with Garga Mahan Das, president of celebration committee and Dotma Revenue circle officer in the chair. 

The Dotma HS school was established in 1938 and dedicated towards building educational environment in the area. 

BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary graced as chief guest.

Borgoyary, in his speech said that the journey of the Dotma HS school in today's life is good step that has crossed 77 years in service of education in the region. He has lauded the contribution of the school while educating peoples since it's established in greater Dotma area in the district of Kokrajhar. 

'The school has a good name while educating good services, besides creating many good personality and educationist in the region', said Borgoyary. 

Former Rajya Sabha MP, Sahitya Academy awardee and ex student of the school Urkhao Gwra Brahma inaugurated the meeting. He said that the school in it's history has lots of contribution towards bringing educationist among society. 

Pradip Kumar Brahma, Kokrajhar west MLA, former president of Bodo sahitya sabha and noted writer Brajendra Kumar Brahma, former principals of the school Amarendra Nath Brahma, Rajendra Nath Brahma, Urna Chandra Brahma,Rameswar Brahma, Chakradhar Brahma, principal of the school were present in the meeting. 

Manik Kumar Brahma, vice principal of the school said that the school has been celebrating platinum jubilee this year which has crossed 77 years in it's existence since established. He said that the school produced large numbers of educated and many personalities are engaged in various top positions in their services across the country, besides creating social workers in the region. 

During the celebration, various competitions including games, literary, marathon race was organized among students.Seminar and ex students meet was also organized.

BTC executive member Rajib Brahma released the Platina souvenir on the second day of the celebration, Pradip Kumar Brahma, MLA laid foundation of medicinal garden at the school complex on Saturday to mark the celebration.
