Rhino killed in KNP

A Rhino has been killed by poachers in Kaziranga National Park  and its horn has been cut off and taken away. The incident took place on Sunday when KNP security personnel found carcass of the rhino Diphalu camp in Burhapahar range and also recovered 29 bor bullet of M4 rifle.  

This is the second rhino killed this year.

Over Bridge gets green signal at Nagaon

The residents of Nagaon would get relief from irritating traffic Jams on the Nagaon- Bhuragaon road also known as Dhing Gate as the goverment has sanctioned 21 crores for a railway overbridge to be constructed there. The government has sanctioned Rs 21 Crores for the railway overbridge to be built on the railway crossing in Dhing Gate, Haibargaon. 4 Dead and 20 Injured in bus accident

4 persons were reportedly burnt alive in a head on collision between a Bus and a trailor on NH 37 , Bosapathar village in Kaziranga under Golaghat District at 4: 30 Am today. The Bus was traveling from Tinsukia in Upper Assam to Guwahati and the trailor was traveling from Guwahati to Jorhat . The bus englufed in to flames just after the collision and 4 persons were burnt alive and 20 Others were injured.The Bus Became a fireball just after the accident on the Highway. According to the information given by Nagaon Police to media persons, on the November 5 last year, a youth Abhijeet Sutradhar resident of English Patti in Haibargaon, Nagaon was found murdered at the By-Pass of Nagaon Town. One self styled captain of UNLF , Chourajit Singh alias Pradeep Singh is arrested from Hojai in Nagaon District on Thursday, by a team led by Additional SP (HQ) Mr. Singharam Mili. Ride Safe Program organised in Nagaon

A day long 'Ride Safe' program was held at the Garu Field, in Nagaon. The program was flagged off by Mr Nityanad Pathak, in-charge of Nagaon Traffic police. As part of the program , two wheeler riders were imparted the basic skills for riding their bikes safely. The training was imparted to 60 riders by Akhtar Hussain, the Safety Advisor of Hero Honada.
