NSLA cadre arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army in a joint operation managed to arrest an active cadre of NSLA (anti talk faction) from Serfanguri area today in Kokrajhar district. 

The cadre was identified as Robvan Hembram@Chunda. 

A 7.65 pistol and a live bullet was recovered from him.

Study tour for border youth

A flag-off ceremony of education study tour of border youth has been organised by 16th Bn SSB Ranighuli at thbattalion headquarter in Kokrajhar on Monday. Bhaskar Pradip Mahanta Memorial lecture

A memorial lecture on Bhaskar Pradip Mahanta was organized by Sanscritic Mahasabha, Assam Kokrajhar district samiti on Sunday in Kokrajhar at Basic Training Centre. Kokrajhar seeks 65 company of security forces

Kokrajhar district administration has been seek 65 companies of security forces to conduct the upcoming Assam Assembly election in free and fair for three LACs in the district slated to be held on April 11 next during second phase of the election in Assam. Tribal organisation oppose ST status to six communities
