Williamnagar gearing up for X-mas
William Nagar in Tura is gearing up for the Christmas festival which falls from December 24. The entire area along with other places across Meghalaya seems to have dressed afresh.
A songchristian competition pulled huge crowd on Sunday organized by the Karukol Cultural Development Committee at Karukol Playground.
Many villages participated in the event to be mesmerized by the songchristian dances.
KCDC Secretary Prosper S Marak conducted the programme while its chairman Raksley Momin welcomed the participants.
Piting Sangma, deacon of Karukol Church delivered his speeches on the words of God.

Ravaged roads and bridges have been causing no less inconvenience for the people in the North Garo Hills for the last couple of years. Repeated requests for fresh look have been fallen on deaf ears.
