e sports and youth affairs department organized the function with the help of the Image Nation where the youths were given away awards of different category youth achievement. Minister of sports and youths affairs Zenith Sangma attended the functions as the chief guest.

Ravaged roads and bridges have been causing no less inconvenience for the people in the North Garo Hills for the last couple of years. Repeated requests for fresh look have been fallen on deaf ears. This has forced the Garo Students Union (GSU) of the Northern Zone to hit the streets on Saturday demanding steps to repair the roads and bridges from Mendipathar to Gajingpara in the district.
