ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa said that the Centre is very positive on the problems confronting Assam and its people.
Talking to Assam Times after coming out of the tripartite ULFA-Government talks in New Delhi on Tuesday, Rajkhowa said both sides have shared the concern and agreed to carry forward the peace process.
"We have asked the government to ensure direct participation of our founder general secretary Anup Chetia. The government side has assured us of steps. Let Anup come and participate. We will keep waiting," said Rajkhowa.
The pro talk ULFA team said that minus Anup Chetia the talks won't be fruitful.
Rajkhowa led the pro talk ULFA delegation in the tripartite talks presided over by Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrhish.
Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju also attended the meeting along with peace interlocutor PC Haldar.
