NDFB-S cadre arrested

One NDFB-S cadre was arrested by security forces belonging to Army and Assam Police in a joint operation from Maslapara village under Bismuri police outpost on Monday morning in Kokrajhar district. 

The arrested cadre was identified as Sanjib Wary @ Akash of Maslapara. The cadre was a cadre of 28th batch of the militant outfit and trained in Udalguri and Myanmar in 2007. 

A 9 mm pistol, two live ammunition and a Chinese grenade was recovered from him. 

Sanjib was involved with various anti social activities like extortion in the region, saud a senior police officer in Kokrajhar.

NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

BPF leaves three more seats to BJP

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
