The Tirap district administration conducted an administrative outreach camp at Old Tupi Tupi village on Saturday. The main objective of the administrative camp was to take administration to the doorsteps of the people and enable the villagers to avail all facilities without going to Khonsa thereby wasting their valuable time and money. 

During the one  day outreach camp the government departments facilitated the villagers to avail STC, PRC, I-Card, Adhar Card, Driving License, free medical check-up with free medicines, medical assessment of handicapped persons, plans and programmes related to education and so and so forth.

All the departments actively participated in the camp. The SSA distributed blind stick, elbow clutch, hearing aid to the children from 1-14 years free of cost. The Agriculture and Horticulture departments provided tools, appliances, seeds and medicines to the farmers free of cost.

Corruption charge against Tuki

Continuing its fight against the rampant corruption and mismanagement of public money by the state government, Chairperson Jan Andolan Committee (JAC) Tame Phassang divulged that state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki is again misusing public money by means of nepotism. 5 killed in Arunachal accident

Five persons died and four others sustained serious injury when the vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday. The tragic accident took place in the wee hours in between Palizi and Ramda in West Kameng district where the vehicle carrying at least nine people was going to Seppa. Eyewitnesses told reporters that the vehicle was negotiating a sharp bend before it slipped into a deep gorge where five persons died on the spot. On the critically injured has been battling for life at the Tezpur Medical College Hospital. Four other injured have been admitted to the district hospital at Seppa.

Arunachal files review plea in SC

The Arunachal Pradesh government has refused to grant refugee status to the Bangladeshi Chakmas and Hajong people who migrated in 1964-69 and urged the Supreme Court to review its judgment. In its recent review petition before the apex Supreme Court, the state government said that the court passed the judgment without hearing the stategovernment. It further told the court that out of total 4637 applications, 4213 applications for citizenship do not fulfill the criteria of signing of oath of allegiance, as per the second schedule to the Citizenship Act, 1955 and police verification of character and antecedents required re-verification.
