5 killed in Arunachal accident

Five persons died and four others sustained serious injury when the vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

The tragic accident took place in the wee hours in between Palizi and Ramda in West Kameng district where the vehicle carrying at least nine people was going to Seppa.

Eyewitnesses told reporters that the vehicle was negotiating a sharp bend before it slipped into a deep gorge where five persons died on the spot. On the critically injured has been battling for life at the Tezpur Medical College Hospital.

Four other injured have been admitted to the district hospital at Seppa.
