Who is BJP's CM candidate: Gaurav

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.

Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.

Talking to reports Gogoi  wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

Amid an unprecedented security and CCTV vigil, the High School Certificate examination and High Madrasa examination have begun across the state on Friday.The Assam state secondary education board is holding the examinations from 9 in the morning with 3,80,665 HSLC and 10, 647 HM candidates at 855 centres across the state.For the first time, the secondary education board is holding the examinations amid tight security deploying policemen to ensure normalcy. ULFA-I on Wednesday latched senior journalist Dhirendranath Chakravartty asking him to desist from making any harmful comment. Poachers have killed yet another rhino in the Kaziranga National Park for horn triggering anger among the cross section of the people who blamed the authority for it.The incident took place early in the morning in the Burhapahar range if the park near the Tunikati camp where the poachers shot a full fledged rhino dead and took away the horn.Forest guards spotted the animal in the morning. “We don't understand why the forest guards are ill prepared which is why one after another rhino is killed for horn.
