Why Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is in a haste to join BJP? Political observers are straight in their comments. He is believed to have unofficially joined BJP in the face of two huge scams that put him in dire straights.
Very recently, BJP parliamentary board called him the key suspect in the Louis Berger scam only a month back. A CID enquiry is in progress which will unearth the real story.
The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the chit fund scam has already grilled Dr Sarma on the basis of the purported letter by Saradha chiefSudipto Sen. CBI has yet to file the charge-sheet.

Now that he joined bjp to save himself for all the scams it will be all the more difficult to prove. He is an opportunist and that's what we don't like. It was bjp who was most vocal about his corruption. Why have they accepted him now? Shouldn't Assam produce more leaders? He already has enough: TV channel, newspaper, guest house, stashed cash and what not. We need honest leaders not tainted. You are spreading the propaganda. Bada aya.

KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang is confident that the NPF will retain power to smoothly resolve the decade old political issue. After casting his vote at his local booth, he said, “I hope that polling will finish smoothly. Kokrajhar: Amid simmering protest over land rights issue of the non Boro people in BTAD areas, an executive BTC body meeting in Kokrajhar agreed said that the general caste cant procure the land rights of the tribals anywhere in the area.
