Why Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is in a haste to join BJP? Political observers are straight in their comments. He is believed to have unofficially joined BJP in the face of two huge scams that put him in dire straights.
Very recently, BJP parliamentary board called him the key suspect in the Louis Berger scam only a month back. A CID enquiry is in progress which will unearth the real story.
The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the chit fund scam has already grilled Dr Sarma on the basis of the purported letter by Saradha chiefSudipto Sen. CBI has yet to file the charge-sheet.

Now that he joined bjp to save himself for all the scams it will be all the more difficult to prove. He is an opportunist and that's what we don't like. It was bjp who was most vocal about his corruption. Why have they accepted him now? Shouldn't Assam produce more leaders? He already has enough: TV channel, newspaper, guest house, stashed cash and what not. We need honest leaders not tainted. You are spreading the propaganda. Bada aya.

LAKWA: A private gas agency employee died and two others sustained serious injury when a gas tank owned by it exploded in Lakwa on Wednesday. The incident took place at 11 in the morning when the tank suddenly exploded with a huge sound leaving employee Prasanta Mohan dead on the spot. Kokrajhar: Amid simmering protest over land rights issue of the non Boro people in BTAD areas, an executive BTC body meeting in Kokrajhar agreed said that the general caste cant procure the land rights of the tribals anywhere in the area. BTAD chief Hagrama Mohilary who chaired te meting said a plot of land is transferable only within the general category people.“The tribal can buy and transfer land from general category.
