Engineering students stage dharna
Students of the Bineswar Brahma Engineering College ( BBEC) Kokrajhar staged dharna in front of the college at Chandrapara demanding solution of various grievances including status of full fledged govt college, permanent principal, faculty,power supply, water facility and laboratory invite college in Kokrajhar today.
Students with banner, placards shouted slogans demanding early appointment of permanent principal, faculty and proper facilities in the college.
Students also demanded that early implementation and release of hostel allowances of the students which were not given to check students.
Chitrajit Sonowal and Jyoti Sarma, agitated students told that college is running without proper facilities like water, lab,power supply, faculty and sufficient management since it's inception . The students demanded to solve their demands yet no any actions were initiated to the demand. They demanded early meet of the demands of the students to give higher education in the college.
They (students) alleged that college authority has not been taking up any measures to solve the issues of problems that were face by students as they put pressurized for the healthy educational situations.
Kamal Kumar Brahma, principal of the college said that the college authority has been intimated the demand and grievances of the students to the higher authority of the concern department, yet no any response was reached so far.
Brahma has revealed the grievances of the students said that we are running the college through contract faculty and teachers under state govt inctge region. He said that college administration was trying to meet up the demand and grievances to give healthy educational situation in the region.

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. Thirteen plays were performed by renowned artists from around the world, in various languages including Bodo, Assamese, Nepali, Hindi, Sinhala, and Malayalam. The festival was organized by the Lwrgi Theatre Group and supported by the BTR government.

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms.
