Gogoi hails Naga pact

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi welcomed the Naga peace accord signed on Monday. In a statement he hoped that it would help the state restore peace and normalcy. But in the same breath he finds it surprising on the secrecy in the Prime Minister’s Office.

He said,"the agreement has been reached after prolonged struggle by the Naga group and it will help in restoring peace and prosperity in Nagaland, but it is astonishing why the clauses of the agreement are kept in the dark," Gogoi said in a statement here.
