Louis Berger scam: Police steps in

Three organizations are deposing before the Dispur police on Wednesday a week after they filed an application for probe into the Louis Berger scam where a foreign company allegedly bribed a section of GMDA officials in 2001.

According to information, the leaders representing Krishak Sabha, Chedar and Asom Swaraj Adhikar Samaj are all prepared to give their statements before the Dispur police station on Wednesday in connection with the case they field on July 23 alleging the bribery scam in GMDA in 2001.

A section of ministers along with some GMDA officials alleged to have accepted bribe to the tune of cores of rupees from a New Jersey-based construction company for awarding the contract of a multi crore water supply project.
