Hundreds of peoples from from all walks of life took part in the dharna staged by Tribal Sangha of Kokrajhar district unit, in protest against the non implementation of the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 in the state, demanded eviction of illegal illegal settlers from reserved tribal belt and blocks.
The sangha members and common staged dharna in front of DC office today and shouted slogans with banner, placards demanding early implementation of the forest dwellers act, protection of tribal belts and blocks and appointment of ST and SC teachers in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools in education department in the state.
The sangha submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner demanding stern action into issues of demands from sangha.
Ranjit Kumar Borgoyari, formerly presidential of the sangha has strongly scammed the government said that the govt has playing step motherly attitudes towards issue of the trials in the state of which why concern communities are depriving from the it rights.
He has demanded early implement of forest dwellers act for the welfare of the traditional ST and other forest dwellers.
