NDFB-S ultra killed

Security forces claimed to have killed yet another NDFB(S) militant-responsible for the gory Adivasi carnage in December last year.
Identified as Rinsar Narzary alias Gaitha, he was killed at an encounter at Amteka area in Chirang district on Tuesday wee hours.
The encounter took place in the wee hours during a joint operation by police and CRPF's Cobra battalion.
Police further claimed top havre captured one 9 mm Browning pistol, one 36 HE (high explosive) grenades, one magazine, five live rounds and four fired rounds.

NDFB(S) link men arrested

Police in its operational initiative able to apprehend three link men of the National Democratic Front of Boroland(Songbijit faction) militant outfit from Harjhora area under Bagribari PS in Kokrajhar district today. 13 fishermen arrested

As many as 13 fishermen were arrested by Bhutan Royal Army on Tuesday inside deep jungle of Sarpang district of Bhutan while going illegally into the neighboring country. According to a senior police officer in Kokrajhar, thirteen persons from Kachugaon area of Gossaigaon subdivision illegally entered seven kilometers into Bhutan territory to fishing inside deep jungle where they were caught by Bhutan Royal Army on Tuesday and then handed over them to Kokrajhar police.
