Wild elephant killed

In another tragic incident following the deaths of 5 people in Udalguri and Baksa districts, a 35 years old female wild elephant was found dead in Bhootiachang tea garden today morning. Veterinary doctor doing postmortem confirmed poisoning as the cause of death.

BJP workers of Darrang and Udalguri districts have expressed serious concern at the inactiveness of BJP candidate and state BJP president Ramen Deka. Suspected ULFA killed

One suspected ULFA cadre was killed yesterday afternoon on April 8 at 4.30 pm, in an encounter with 65 Field regiment of Army at Bhuankhat village, under Kalaigaon police station in the district of Udalguri.
