Fire gutted in Bijni

A massive fire gutted a bakery at Subaijhar Road under Bijni police station in Chirang district in the wee hours late last night. According to Aup Dey, owner of the Sriguru Bakery told that fire occurred due to short circuit of the power and three huts in the complex were totally set ablaze and lakhs of properties were ruined.Later, the fire was controlled by fire tenders.

NDFB-S link man held

 A link man of NDFB-Songbijit faction was arrested by security forces belonging to police and army from Saraibil under Gossaigaon police station on Thursday in Kokrajhar district.  Getting input about working of link man in the area, a joint team of security forces launched operation and managed to arrest the link man. He was identified as Rana Narzary of Nachraibil. Ajmal foundation dedicates houses for riot victims
