Security forces have apprehended three hardcore cadres of NDFB-S along with arms from different places of Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts on Wednesday.

According to a tiptop information about movement of militants at Kousi bazaar area under Serfanguri PS of Kokrajhar district security forces conducted operation and managed to arrest a hardcore cadre and trained member of 35th batch of NDFB-S outfit. The cadre was identified as Sanjib Basumatary@B Saville and 30 rounds of AK 47 and a hand grenade was recovered from him. In another, security forces arrested a NDFB-S cadre from Parbatjhora area of Kokrajhar district, who was identified as Sachin Brahma@Lalawho and a 9 mm pistol and bullets recovered from his possession. 

In Sonitpur district, security forces managed to arrest another hardcore of NDFB-S cadre from Sopay Rowmari area during search operation. The cadre was identified as Dilip Boro and he was allegedly involved with massacre of Adivasi in the district. Explosive and live ammunition recovered fro  him.

Tribal organisation oppose ST status to six communities

Candle light by ABSU

Bengali federation burn effigy

Students activists from All BTC Bengali Youth Students Federation show their protest and burnt effigy of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in protest against his recent derogatory remakrs on Hindu Bengali community in the state. Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPP president Urkhao Gwra Brahma  expressed his deep sorrow over demise of PA Sangma,former Lok Sabha Speaker and Tura Lok Sabha MP. Brahma,in his codolence message said that the country has lost a great with his(Sangma) dead.He  was one of the most prominent and influential political leader in the country,who was representing Tura Lok Sabha constituency till his death.Brahma extended deep condolence to the departed soul of PA Sangma.
