Road mishap kills one

A person was died on the way for Siliguri hospital for better treatment after a road mishap at Kokrajhar town near Sister Margaret School along the Hatimata Road yesterday evening in Kokrajhar.  

According to police, two bikes from opposition sites head on collided yesterday at round 7.15 pm near Sister Margaret School along the Hatimata Road in town and bikers from both side received serious injured. The injured were immediately rushed to MRM hospital,Kokrajhar after incident, but due to critical condition one of the injured was referred to Siliguri for better treatment and later he breathed his last on the way on the same night.

The deceased was identified as Sudem Narzary of Hadanpara village of Ward No.8 of Kokrajhar town.

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
