New Delhi: The Supreme Court has taken a significant step by issuing a notice in the Special Leave Petition (Crl) No. 7929/2023, directing it to the Assam Government regarding the PIL/86/2021. This petition was filed by advocate Arif  Jwadder. Renowned lawyer and activist, Prashant Bhushan, represented the case in court today. Clause VI panel feels let down, report sent to department

New Delhi: In a major setback for the BJP-led coalition government in the state,  the Centre is unlikely to endorse the recommendations of the panel set up to suggest the implementation of the Clause VI of the Assam Accord,  1985. This has forced the committee to hand over the report in the Assam Accord implementation department on Wednesday.
