Pashighat is throbbing with the preparations of Arunachal Spring Carnival from March 17. Organized by the tourism department, the two day event is expected to draw huge crowd of adventure seekers and cultural activists. Organizers told Assam Times that competitions like angling to white water rafting, shows from fashion to rock includes apart from many other attractive events in the carnival.
In a recent meeting in Guwahati, the Arunachal Pradesh government has invited Assam tour operators to participate in the event. State tourism department secretary Dr Joram Beda, in the meeting held the Paryatan Bhawan in Guwahati with his Assam counterpart and tour operators highlighted a slew of new initiatives to issue inner line permit in a hassle free way from Guwahati and some other railway stations for the tourists.
They further held an interaction session with Assam tour operators. Leena Perme, Resident Tourism Officer of AP tourism based in Guwahati also attended the meeting and interacted with tour operators. Participants also included President and Secretary of Tour Operators Association of Assam.
