Modi in Kokrajhar!

He leads a simple life. Like is not unlike other dealers. He is after all a dealer that helps common people get their good in fair price. We are talking of Prahlad Bhai Modi. The younger brother of prime minister Narendra Modi drew appreciation from the people in Kokrajhar when he attended the BTAD Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation’s convention on Sunday. Addressing the open meeting on the concluding day at the Balajan Tinali Gaurang High School ground on Sunday, the vice president of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation shared the woes of the fair price shop dealers. Like other dealers, also demanded proper care for the common people to enable them to get ration and other needy goods at fair prices. People who attended the meeting welcomed his as soon as he landed in Kokrajhar to attend the convention along with the federation Puspa Raj Deshmuk.

Tribal organisation oppose ST status to six communities

Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Madhav Prasad Sarma laid the foundation of Children Study Hall cum Mini Digital Library at Destination Girls’ Home, Anthaigwlao Chandrapara in Kokrjahar on Friday to mark the celebration of State Child Protection Day. Bengali federation burn effigy

Students activists from All BTC Bengali Youth Students Federation show their protest and burnt effigy of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in protest against his recent derogatory remakrs on Hindu Bengali community in the state. Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPP president Urkhao Gwra Brahma  expressed his deep sorrow over demise of PA Sangma,former Lok Sabha Speaker and Tura Lok Sabha MP.
