DU students on NE visit

A huge group of Delhi University students is on a visit to the north east to discover the region afresh.

Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju flagged off the special train Gyanodoy at a brief function at the New Delhi Railway station on Friday morning. Rijiju who himself hails from Arunachal Pradesh in the region called it a wonderful effort towards greater national integration & for better understanding about North-East by the youths of other parts of the country.

The students would be divided into 8 groups to visit all North-East States.

“It’s indeed a goo venture of the varsity authority to send the students to the north east to understand the region. It would be able to aware the students of the other parts of the real beauty and hospitality of the people,” said a north east student who is pursuing higher education in the capital.

A JNU student said it would help the north east students get rid of the racial attacks in other parts of the country.
