Earthen lamps dazzle Saturday evening as the state is observing Kati bihu is being observed with traditional fervor among the people of all walks of life. Tulsi plants are being worshipped in every Hindu households to mark the occasion with prayers seeking divine help to end the period of poverty this year. Cultural functions are lined up in many places this evening. As soon as the evening gripped the paddy fields across the state started shining in the light of the earthen lamps that rant the sky.
