Gogoi undergoes medical tests

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has undergone medical tests at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital on Wednesday. The tests include echocardiography and chest X-ray.

Cardiologist Dr Anjan Bhattacharjee later told reporters that an echocardiography was planned for sometime which was done. According to him, the chief minister’s heart was working very well. The last echocardiography for the valve fitted in his heart in 2009 was done in 2013 in Mumbai.

The doctors at the GMCH did an X-ray of his chest following the complaint of allergic cough due to dust. The chest congestion was cleared with a nebulizer.

 The team of senior doctors attending on the Chief Minister advised him to take two days rest before resuming his normal duties.
