Dispur to move SC on border issue

Dispur would soon move the Supreme Court for early settlement of the vexed border issue.

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi told it to a delegation of 13 local organizations who met him in Guwahati on Friday.    Further, the Chief Minister thanked the organisations for calling off their agitation programmes and sought their cooperation for early restoration of peace and tranquillity in the trouble-torn area.  

The representatives of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), All Tai Ahom Students' Union (ATASU), Assam Tea Tribes' Students Association (ATTSA), All Adivasi Student Association of Assam (AASAA) and SC Students' Union were among those who took part in the discussions.

Ministers Ajanta Neog and Rakibul Hussain, MP Gaurav Gogoi, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Home and Political, Principal Secretary to CM, Home Commissioner and Secretary Director General of Police and Additional DGP (law and order).
