Media Peace Intervention Training Programme

An workshop on media peace intervention training programme on the topic of media as an effective tool for paece building in conflict situation with reference to Kokrajhar in Assam is being organised by Department of Mass Communication, Rajiv Gandhi Univ, Itanagar & North Easgtern Social Research Centre(NESRC), Guwahati at Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar for the working journalists at CIT conference hall in Kokrajhar today.

Over 40 working journalist,civil organisation activists and NGO members participated the workshop and shared their views on peace building which is required in present day today life in Kokrajhar of BTAD region.

Chaitali Brahma,Registrar of CIT,Kokrajhar inaugurating the worksop said information technology which is becoming faster as power information among society.She said that organising of such kind workshop will gain influence of society about building peece and unity.

Pradip Phanjoubam,editor of Imphal Free Press,Samir Kar Purkayasta,senior journalist,Dr Kh Kabi,associate professor and head of deparment of mass communication,Rajib Gandhi University,Itanagar,Dr Melvil Pereira,director of North Easgtern Social Research Centre(NESRC), Guwahati graced the workshop and spoke about peace building through media among society.
