Man killed by wife and son

In a bizarre incident that sends shocwaves across the state, a villager lost his life at the hands of his wife and son in Barpeta district on Thursday.

The incident was beleived to have taken place at Kaharpara vlage in Niyananda area where 55 year old Kalicharan Kalita was beaten up to death by his wife Lalita Kalita and son Montu.

It took place in the wee hours because of domestic violence. But it came to light only after 8 in the morning.  Policemen arrived in the spot and arrested the mother and son.

But a group of local villagers turned violent and vandalized the house accusing the duo of commiting the pre planned crime. The situation has forced the authority to deploy security forces at the incidentspot.
