4 killed in truck-bus collision

Four persons were killed at a tragic road mishap in Nagaon on Saturday. The accident took place when a vehicle carrying four persons collided its head on an ASTC passenger bus at Amguri in Kaliabor on the National Highway No 37 where the four passengers inside the Indica car were killed on the spot. They were identified as Prachurya Phukan, Latu Kalita, Mrinal Saikia.

GUWAHATI: The United Liberation Front of Asom(I) has urged the various organizations not to invite the Delhi based political leaders and bureaucrats to lecture them on Assam and its history. GUWAHATI: Good news for the north region on its agriculture front. Nova Biotech opened its organic bio-fertilizer plant recently in Guwahati fetching hopes to millions of farmers in the region. Noted social worker Ridhkaran Surana opened the plant at a function near Lokhra in the city on Friday. In his address, agriculture commissioner and secretary Amlan Baruah said that Nova Biotech had come forward to join hands with the State governments for encouraging organic farming in the region. GUWAHATI:Guwahati is holding a huge RSS rally on Sunday forcing the authority to step up security in the face of an escalating criticism from a section of political parties and organizations. Security forces have been guarding the venue in Khanapara where RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat is addressing the rally.
