BPPF demands free and fair investigation

The Bodoland Peoples Progressive Front on Tuesday demanded a thorough probe into the bloodletting in BTAD areas so that the culprits are given exemplary punishment.

Speaking the Reporters at the BPPF party office here in Kokrajhar on Tuesday, Rabiram Narzary said the NIA who is given charge to investigate into killings in BTAD should be given free and fair hand into incident and government should not be intervened over issues. He has expressed serious concerned into killings of innocent peoples in the region said such kind killing are very unfortunate and shamed for region.

Narzary has demanded seizure all illegal arms for an arms free society  said Bodo people has been the worst sufferer of illegal arms since long. He said that 25 BPPF party workers have become victim of illegal arms since 2006. He said they have demanded seizure of all illegal arms since long but the government did not take any action or necessary steps to root out the illegal arms.  He said three types of killings are taking place in the state-militants targeting innocent civilians, killing innocent civilians in the name of counter insurgency and political killings and in all these it’s the public who have been victimize.
