NDFB-S militant killed in Udalguri

In a stepped up counter insurgency operation, security forces claimed to have killed a hardcore NDFB-S militant at an encounter in Udalguri district on Sunday.

The encounter took place at Bhoiraguri with police and army where the hardcore militant was killed on the spot.

Before that on Sunday morning three dreaded NDFD-S militants were killed in a four hour long fierce gun battle in Sonitpur district bordering Arunachal Pradesh.

Annada Gohain, a resident of Kharghuli, breathed her last on 19th September 2011 at a private hospital in Guwahati at the age of 81 years.
