The Assam Government has recommended NIA probe into the BTAD violence where at least 33 people were killed.

Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting in Dispur, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that this is a fit case for NIA probe.

Gogoi said that his government has sought extra forces from the Centre apart from Cobra forces to firmly deal with the situation.

Dr MMS is the MP from Assam and he should take the moral responsibilty for the violence. The UPA and state government who had been ruling for the last 10 years must be blamed for such butchery. But Congress sees only shadow of Modi on anything. The Congress leaders leaders who used to revel in the luxury and comforts in Delhi offices were always apathetic towards the violence in Kashmir and  Punjab during the 1970's and 1980's. The secular leaders were more philosohical and much less practical in understanding the problems of people in all parts of the country. There was similar violence in 2012 in NE. Then the government should have take precautionary measures to avert the occurance of similar incidents. When there is NO capable ruler or leader at the centre, the state governments will also follow the anarchy. "Yatha Raja Thatha Praja" means "AS THE RULER SO THE RULED". If the king of the country is of good character, with good heart and always thinking of well-being of his subjects, and if he is a spiritual thinker and peaceful minded, his subjects will be like him in all these ways too

Over 400 people have been remaining clueless in Goalpara district hours after the cloudburst in Meghalaya on Monday. Two persons died in Guwahati in two different incidents when rainwaters wreaked havoc in the premier north eastern city on Monday. Over ten people were believed to have died in Goalpara district when cloudburst took place in Garo hills of Meghalaya on Monday.The cloudburst triggered devastating flood in the lower Assam district leaving over ten people dead in the morning beside rendering lakhs of people homeless forcing the government to deploy NDRF in relief and rescue operations.Roads and bridges in many places were washed away from the strong flood waves. Rainwaters continue to wreak havoc in Guwahati with more and more areas of the premier north eastern city coming under the waters on Monday. This has forced the authorities to order shut down of all city schools until further notice. The situation turned worse in the afternoon because of the incessant rains that lashed the city for the last 29 hours. The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the Saradha scam quizzed Nalini Chidambaram in Kolkata on Sunday to unearth her link with Sudipto Sen.The CBI sleuths at the Salt Lake questioned the wife of former Union minister P Chidambaram for several hours acting on Sudipta Sen’s letter where he claimed to have paid more than Rs 1 crore to her at the instance of Manoranjana Singh. In an 18-page letter to CBI, Sen alleged that he paid for Nalini Chidambaram's visits to Kolkata and for her stays in a 5-star hotel.   
HANTIGIRI NARZARY, KOKRAJHAR: BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary has slammed the state government for not allowing financial support to the council for implementing the propose projects included in the historic Bodo Accord. He said that only direct funding would help them ensure a speedy development process.Addressing a public meeting at Adabari in Kokrajhar on Monday, he said the council has not received adequate fund from Dispur which was why, them have not been able to fulfill the promises. According to him, as per population pattern the council should get 12.19 percent fund and that as of now, they get only 4.18 percent per year.
